The role you'll contribute: Supervises the staff and operations of the Imaging Departments of the hospital. Provides leadership and guidance for all modalities and shifts. Coordinates patient and staff schedules in Radiology. Maintains the flow of work through job assignments for technologists and students. Maintains QI/QC for department and technologists. Responsible for charge reconciliation, protocol and process compliance, and safety accountability. In addition, performs all radiographic procedures. Positions, moves, and transports patients. Performs clerical duties. Assists Radiologist in performance of special imaging procedures. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Responsible for daily operations of Diagnostic Radiology and Clinical Support in Diagnostic Services of main campus including ED, OR, outpatient and inpatient services.
Works collaboratively with the Radiologists regarding workflows and quality standards through protocol management for best practice.
Assures patient care is monitored and appropriately documented, order completion, patient education, and referral for follow-up care, both in the medical records and logs, as indicated. Assures medical records are maintained with respect to patient confidentiality, security and completeness.
Assures personnel are scheduled to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation using flexible staffing when appropriate. Works with Scheduling to ensure availability and quality of service.
Assures accurate time and attendance records are kept and reported in a timely manner.
Evaluate staff on a daily basis to ensure that they are providing Excellent Customer Service and supporting a favorable Patient Experience.
Schedules and performs interviews for approved Radiology positions, making recommendations for hiring as needed. Participates in the recruitment, responsible for selection of employees, orientation, evaluation and termination of personnel.
Documents performance issues. Assists employees in an understanding of performance standards and provides employees with specific, timely, and constructive feedback.
Performs introductory and annual performance evaluations
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
Associate Required
High School Grad or Equiv Required
5 years Radiology experience
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's Preferred
Certified Radiologic Tech (CR-TECH) Preferred
Physicist-Rad Therapy IEMA (PHYS-RAD) Preferred
KY Med Imagin/Rad (KBMIRT) Preferred
Certified Radiologic Tech (CR-TECH) Preferred
Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT) Preferred
Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT-TECH) Preferred
