**Diabetes Care and Education Specialist** Work location: Hybrid - remote and in office at 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, Texas 76011 and Command Center located at Texas Health DallasWork hours: Part time, 24 hours between Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm (Monday and Friday will be required) Department highlights:

**Here's What You Need**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing require or
+ Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetic, Food Science or Related field required
+ Master's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetic, Food Science or Related field preferred
+ 2 years certified diabetes care and education specialist required
+ 3 years clinical nursing experience required or
+ 3 years registered dietitian
+ CDE/CDCES - Certified Diabetes Educator/Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist within 12 months of hire required and
+ CDCES is highly preferred
+ CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation upon hire required
+ RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required or
+ LD - Licensed Dietitian upon hire required and
+ RD - Registered Dietitian upon hire required and
+ CDR - Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification upon hire required
What You Will Do
+ Educate and assist patients with diabetes through appropriate evaluation and teaching methods.
+ Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to improve inpatient diabetes care, education and glycemic management.
+ Applies business principles, systems practice, and population health management to support achievement of the Quadruple Aim (reduced costs, better outcomes, improved experience, and improved work life for healthcare providers).
+ Demonstrates advanced knowledge and clinical diabetes expertise serving as a clinical expert and resource for others.
+ Partners with the interdisciplinary care team to assist with glycemic management in the inpatient diabetes population.
