Job Description:

Role Overview 

We are looking for someone to join our team as we embark on a DevOps to DevSecOps transformation. Our team is working to empower all developers across TD to drive value for our colleagues and customers more effectively, efficiently, and with greater confidence in the solutions. We build capabilities to accelerate thousands of software engineers and lead execution and adoption of modern DevSecOps principles, practices, and pipelines.  

As a Technical Product Owner & Engineer, you will lead the creation of comprehensive end-to-end direction for our target state DevSecOps pipeline and platform with overall accountability for the product design and delivery of specific solutions in partnership with senior technical engineering staff. You will describe requirements and needs for our pipeline ecosystem, ensuring adherence to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting requirements. You will also provide technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security, especially relating to the use of modern DevSecOps pipelines to enhance developer effectiveness. Key Responsibilities 

Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive end-to-end pipeline solutions, coordinating stakeholders and following a “build it, break it, fix it” mentality. Work with various stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and engineering leads to develop and advance the future DevSecOps state and product capabilities. Break features into Epics and User Stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage the squad’s backlog to deliver new capabilities in Agile sprints. Provide technical leadership and guidance for scrum teams, proactively identifying and resolving issues, and mentoring engineers of all skill levels. Review technical deliverables throughout design and development to ensure quality, identify gaps, and recommend redesigns as needed. Identify, recommend, and implement improvements or solutions (buy/build/reuse) to enhance customer experience, availability, and/or reduce cost. Develop, document, and maintain technical solutions, including architectural blueprints, automation frameworks, and integration with enterprise standards. Define and measure performance against KPIs and metrics for features, automation, and overall solution effectiveness. Champion DevSecOps maturity assessments, continuous testing capabilities, and adoption of automated pipeline and testing frameworks. Build relationships across technology, business, and control functions, and contribute to the advancement of engineering practice through collaboration, research, and problem-solving. 
 

Required Experience 

Education & Credentials 

University or Post-Graduate Degree (preferably in engineering, computer science, or a related field)  

Professional Experience 

5+ years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field with a strong focus on security, automation, and pipeline solutions 3+ years of experience in product management or development, using Agile methodologies 8–10 years in progressively technical leadership roles, especially in test automation, SDET, or Test Architect positions Proven track record in designing and implementing automation, pipeline, and security solutions Deep knowledge of security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA), CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions/Workflows), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)  Hands-on expertise with test automation and build tools (Selenium, Java, Rest Assured, Jenkins, GIT, GitHub, Atlassian Suite)  Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex dependencies Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders  Experience with cloud and containerization concepts Strategic understanding of smart home, IoT, or enterprise platform technologies (for broader product owner roles)
