DevSecOps Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented DevSecOps Engineer to join our Platform Operations team. This role is pivotal in managing daily operational tasks, handling ServiceNow tickets, and administering access and configurations across key DevOps tools including GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Nexus. The ideal candidate will also bring solid experience in Linux system administration, supporting hybrid environments and ensuring secure, efficient platform operations.


Responsibilities

ServiceNow Ticket Management:Triage, respond to, and resolve daily ServiceNow requests related to platform access, configuration, and troubleshooting.Ensure timely updates and closure of tickets with clear documentation.Access Provisioning & Governance:Manage user and group access to GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Nexus.Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and enforce least privilege principles.Audit and maintain access logs for compliance and security reviews.Platform Administration:Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and configuration of DevOps tools.Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot issues proactively.Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure platform resilience and compliance.Security & Compliance:Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure secure configurations and vulnerability management.Support internal audits and implement remediation actions as needed.Maintain compliance with organizational and federal security standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS or other technical field.Proven experience administering GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Nexus in enterprise environments.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.Familiarity in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) a plus.Experience with both Linux and Windows system administration.Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server roles.Knowledge of access control models and identity management.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance (Public Trust).Certification in DevOps Foundation a plus.Familiarity with monitoring tools and log aggregation (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
