ABOUT THIS POSITION
The successful candidate will be part of the distributed KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) Big Data Knowledge Management (BDKM) Portfolio’s Cloud Hybrid Edge-to-Enterprise Evaluation Test & Analysis Suite (CHEETAS) of tools. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented DevSecOps engineer with extensive Configuration Change Board (CCB) experience to join our team. This role combines DevSecOps responsibilities with CCB ticket management, requiring a strong understanding of both software development, software security and configuration management principles within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. You will be a key member of a distributed KBR team, working closely with both the JMETC BDKM User Support Team and the JMETC Cyber Security Team. This role requires proven experience in managing change requests within a complex DoD environment and a strong understanding of configuration management principles.
From a DevSecOps perspective this position involves ensuring the security and integrity of software within the CHEETAS tool suite. Your ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, proactively identify potential security challenges and ensure adherence to process will be crucial to the success of ensuring secure and timely software deployments onto the DoD accredited systems covered by the various CCBs.
From a CCB Ticket Manager perspective this position will be responsible for submitting and managing the lifecycle and status of all CCB tickets submitted for the BDKM User Support Team across multiple unique Cyber Security Team CCB Jira boards. You will serve as a central point of contact for creating, tracking, coordinating and reporting on the progress of these requests, ensuring timely and efficient processing while maintaining alignment with security policies and procedures.
This will be a remote position with potential travel of 25% to work with end users and stakeholders scattered across the US. Responsibilities:
+ Receive, log and track all Configuration Change Board (CCB) tickets submitted by the BDKM User Support Team for the Cyber Security team.
+ Work with existing BDKM and Cyber Security team members to implement rigor into the software development process for the government owned and developed CHEETAS tool-suite and other tools as needed.
+ Work with existing team members to ensure the security and integrity of externally and internally developed software being used within the TRMC BDKM portfolio.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) between the BDKM team and the JMETC Cyber security team when dealing with cyber issues or the status of any BDKM CCB requests.
+ Communicate proactively with both teams to address any questions, requests for clarification or delays in processing.
+ Identify potential cyber security challenges that may arise and potential options for proactively addressing those challenges while other team members are discussing requirements and needs.
+ Create and ensure all BDKM CCB tickets are complete, accurate and contain the necessary information for Cyber Security review prior to submission, this will entail working with other team members to collect necessary information.
+ Manage the lifecycle of all BDKM CCB tickets through various stages (submitted, in review, approved, rejected, implemented, closed).
+ Maintain an organized and accessible repository of all BDKM CCB tickets and related documentation.
+ Facilitate meetings or phone calls (if necessary) to discuss complex or critical change requests.
+ Provide regular updates and status reports to stakeholders on the progress of all BDKM CCB tickets especially as critical event dates approach.
+ Ensure all change requests adhere to established configuration management policies and procedures.
+ Identify and escalate potential risks or issues related to CCB requests to include schedule risks.
+ Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline the BDKM CCB ticket management process.
+ Maintain accurate records of all change requests, approvals and rejections.
+ Generate regular reports on all BDKM CCB ticket status, turnaround times and other key metrics.
+ Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation related to the CCB process.
+ Participate in TRMC JTEX workgroup meetings 2-3 times a year where the successful candidate may be expected to brief in a conference style environment with our peers and customers.

+ Experience working within an Enterprise Software Development team.
+ Proven experience documenting complex software systems, including big data platforms, cloud-based architectures or data analytics tools.
Work Environment:
+ Location: This position is mostly remote, but the individual must reside in an area near a military installation.
+ Travel Requirements: Up to 25%

Qualifications:
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance required
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years’ of progressively more advanced technical experience – preferably within a DoD Test and Evaluation or Research and Development environment.
+ 5+ years of Software Development experience within the DoD.
+ Proficiency using at least one high-level programming language (C, C#, C++, Python, etc.)
+ Experience interfacing with external development teams is a must.
+ 5+ years of configuration management experience within a DoD environment.
+ Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence.
+ Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and change management processes.
+ Experience working closely with a DoD Cybersecurity Team.
+ Understanding of DoD Cyber Security.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, encompassing written, verbal and face to face interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 15+ years of Software Development experience with 10+ in DoD.
+ 10+ years of Configuration Management experience with 7+ in DoD.
+ 2+ years of Cyber Security experience within the DoD.
+ Knowledge of DoD Cyber Security principles and practices.
+ Familiarity with DoD security standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, RMF).
+ Active Top-Secret Clearance
+ Experience working within DoD Test and Evaluation environment.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
+ Minimum 40 hours per week
Basic Compensation:
+ $142,400 – $195,000 for the Camarillo CA area
+ The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
