Job Summary To support their operations and expansion, they are searching for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer (Hybrid in Ludwigshafen), ideally with experience in the IT market to help to better develop their business in the German market.
  Your activities will support the objective of delivering a sustainable contribution of the global water supply. You will act by operating systems integrations, backing up the IT landscapes, planning and executing software updates and advising on technological solutions based on clients needs and issues. You will also be testing and monitoring programs in order to assure that the delivery of the smart meters, networks technologies and advanced data analysis that the company provides are being successful.
Requirements:
• Degree in computer science, computer science or similar.
• Several years of specific professional experience.
• Experience in building and managing container landscapes based on Docker/Kubernetes.
• Relevant experience with DevOps infrastructures with CI/CD, scripting languages, OpenStack technologies and Linux administration
• Experience with monitoring / backup solutions. Ideally, PRTG / CommVault Simpana.
• Experience with open source technologies, software development, cloud architectures.
• High level of commitment, initiative and goal-oriented independent way of working.
• Very good knowledge of German and English.
• Communication skills, team orientation, responsibility and cost awareness.
• Establish and maintain a professional business relationship with customers. 
• Achieve customer loyalty by practicing key account management. • Conduct new business; target and prospect new customers per goals outlined for the region.
• Develop the business in the US and Canada markets.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the business by attending educational training organized by the company.

 Responsibilities:
• Development, introduction and support of user-specific software systems.
• Creation and management of container landscapes.
• Responsible for the central monitoring of the entire IT landscape. Including the integration of new systems (servers, storage units, networks, etc.) and modification of existing systems. Provision of service level reports, e.g. Uptime statistics.
• Responsible for backing up and restoring the IT landscape.
• Plan, execute, and monitor system and software updates.
• Recording and analysing customer problems and advising on technological solutions as well as defining the range of services with clients.
• Testing of created programs under user conditions and final release for productive use.
• Implementation / Implementation of projects.
• Advising, supporting and training departments.
