Thales Global Service is a THALES entity in charge of maintaining IT ecosystem for the whole organization.
You will join the Thales Cloud Journey program, one of the pillar of the Cloud Center of Excellence. The objectives of this program is to modernize web applications, By Re-Hosting them on modern Cloud Landing Zones, Updating the codes when needed and implement CICD principles.
As a modernization DevOps you will be a key element of this transformation program. You will interact with an Assessment team that is in charge of designing a modern architecture, and with application developers that will help you modernizing the application source code.
TCJ can modernize custom code (any languages, any kind of architecture) and COTS.
Actions for a Modernization DevOps:
Containerize application when specified in the decision file.
Integrate source code in a complete DevOps framework (CI and CD) that perform the following actions :
Software composition Analysis ; SAST scan ; SonarQube ; Trivy
Build using Kaniko for containerized application
Build using standard tools like Maven, composer; npm, … for application hosted on a virtual machine.
Infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
Deployment using Helm or GitOps tools For Containerized applications
Deployment using Ansible playbooks and roles for application hosted on a virtual machine.
Validate that the application deployment in the 4 environments that are: Development ; Integration ; Pre-production and production.
With automated tests using Cypress Framework.
Ensure Data Format compatibilities between original application infrastructure and target infrastructure.
Ensure that security best practice are implemented on each delivered application
TLS encryption
Secret Management
AuthZ
Ensure the handover to the team that will manage the RUN of the application
By animating Knowledge transfer session
By writing a detailed technical documentation
Expectation for the candidate:
Experience with at least one Public Cloud Provider (GCP is preferred)
Strong experience with Helm Chart and Ansible Roles.
Strong experience on containerization and container orchestration.
Ability to write Bash or Python Scripts.
Experience with SQL database (PostgreSQL ; Mariadb ; SQL Server ; Oracle)
Experience With both linux (RHEL / Debian) and windows operating systems (GPO, WinRM)
Experience with Gitlab CI
Experience with Terraform.
Understanding of modern Authentication and authorization mechanisms (OIDC / SAML).
Understanding TLS encryption protocol
Professional level in English.
