We CGI is seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Oracle database development and deployment automation to lead the migration of our legacy, homegrown DevOps processes to a modern, version-controlled solution using Liquibase.

This role will be instrumental in modernizing our database CI/CD pipeline, improving deployment reliability, and aligning with industry best practices.

This position can be performed from Lafayette, LA (Preferred), Sunrise, FL, Raleigh, NC or Bloomfield, CT in a Hybrid Model.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Analyze and document existing Oracle database deployment processes and scripts.
Design and implement a migration strategy to transition from legacy deployment methods to Liquibase.
Develop and maintain Liquibase changelogs, scripts, and configurations.
Collaborate with DBAs, developers, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Automate database deployment and rollback processes using Liquibase.
Ensure version control and traceability of all database changes.
Provide training and documentation to internal teams on Liquibase usage and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database deployments and migrations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

At least 5 years of experience in the must have skills:
DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Oracle database development and deployment automation to lead the migration of our legacy, homegrown DevOps processes to a modern, version-controlled solution using Liquibase.

5+ years of experience with Oracle database development and deployment.
3+ years of experience in DevOps or CI/CD pipeline development.
Hands-on experience with Liquibase or similar database migration tools (e.g., Flyway).
Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle database architecture.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience migrating legacy systems or homegrown tools to modern DevOps platforms.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of other RDBMS systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) is a plus.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare) with change control processes.
 
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,300 - $214,800.
