At Vodafone, we combine software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops) to shorten the development lifecycle and deliver high-quality software continuously. As a DevOps Engineer supporting our Digital Engineering teams, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes—across AWS, Azure, GCP, and other cloud providers. This role ensures high availability and rapid delivery across international teams.

We offer this position as full-time or part-time, with flexible working from any Vodafone location or your home in the Czech Republic.

What you’ll do Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools to support Digital engineering and software development.Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for scalable and reusable cloud deployments.Operate and support Kubernetes-based applications across multi-cloud environments.Automate build, test, deployment, configuration, and monitoring pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable delivery.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure platform scalability, security, and performance.Drive observability by implementing smart alerting, dashboards, and proactive incident prevention.Contribute to system design, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure operational excellence.Ensure continuous integration and rapid delivery across value streams.
Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of services through rigorous testing, automation, and release procedures.Partner with developers and operations to achieve balance between feature speed and reliability. What skills we need Advanced English (spoken and written) for collaboration with global teams.Proven experience with:
- CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and related services.
- Kubernetes (preferably in cloud-managed environments).
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Linux systems and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).Good understanding of:
- Networking concepts and security best practices.
- Monitoring, logging, and performance tuning (e.g., Datadog, Instana, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud-native tools).
