Overview

A DevOps Specialist manages service operations and designs robust deployment environments, automation pipelines, monitoring systems, and diagnostic tools to support continuous, iterative development. This role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and users to evolve service delivery in agile environments.

Collaboration & Agile Integration

Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies to continuously improve services.Partner with stakeholders and product owners to understand service needs, size environments, and shape deployment strategies.Participate in project discovery activities, including fieldwork and technical user research, relevant to infrastructure and operations.

Deployment Engineering & CI/CD Pipelines

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in partnership with Full Stack Developers and QA Automation teams.Standardize and document reusable CI/CD pipeline templates for cloud and on-premise environments.Integrate DevSecOps workflows into pipelines, embedding automated security scanning, code quality checks, and compliance validations (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode).

Infrastructure Automation & Environment Management

Architect and provision infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation).Automate setup and maintenance of deployment environments, supporting configuration, environment promotion, and blue-green deployments.Manage IAM across environments, including Azure AD, B2C integrations, RBAC, and SSO configurations.

Monitoring, Diagnostics & Service Reliability

Implement and maintain automated monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Kibana, Elasticsearch).Conduct diagnostics and performance tuning to ensure operational health and proactive issue resolution.Implement event-driven operations and self-healing workflows using messaging platforms (e.g., Azure Service Bus, AWS SNS).

Maintenance, Evaluation & Optimization

Plan and coordinate service maintenance activities with minimal downtime and user disruption.Evaluate services for performance and reliability, recommending optimizations based on analytical insights.

Knowledge Sharing & Innovation

Mentor developers and operations teams on DevOps tools, workflows, and best practices.Lead knowledge transfer initiatives and build onboarding frameworks for DevOps projects and toolchains.Contribute to innovation by developing proof-of-concept pipelines and exploring emerging DevOps technologies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $75.00/hr.
