CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Application Specialist within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The DevOps Application Specialist designs, implements, and maintains infrastructure and applications using DevOps principles to ensure continuous delivery, automated workflows, and robust system performance. Key responsibilities include infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, cloud management, application deployment, monitoring, security integration (DevSecOps), and providing technical expertise for specific applications. They bridge the gap between development and operations, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to streamline processes and improve application quality and delivery speed.

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
• Automation & IaC: Architect, build, and maintain automated systems for deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI to automate code integration, testing, and deployment.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Deploy and configure applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and manage virtualized or hybrid environments.
• Application Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration and updates.
• Containerization: Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to manage and scale applications.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios) to track application performance, identify issues, and ensure system stability.
• Security (DevSecOps): Integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies and using tools for security monitoring and code analysis.
• Documentation: Thoroughly document all solution details, processes, and configurations.
• Collaboration & Support: Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and support staff, to resolve issues and provide technical support.
Journeyman:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
• Operating Systems: Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and system administration.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Scripting Languages: Python, PowerShell.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200000.00.
