Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Unix System Administrator, you’ll be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing Unix/Linux-based infrastructures. You’ll play a key role in ensuring system performance, reliability, and automation. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Unix systems administration, shell scripting, performance tuning and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain Unix servers (e.g., RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
- Perform regular updates, patches, and backups
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and system management
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Collaborate with application teams to support deployments and integrations
- Strengthen system security through access controls, firewalls, and audits
- Document system configurations, procedures, and policies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- Proven experience as a Unix System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Proficiency in shell scripting Familiarity with system monitoring tools (Zabbix).
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, etc.).
- Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional diploma in IT or a related field (DEP or equivalent)
- Bilingualism (French and English)
