Description:

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for an experienced Device Registered Nurse RN Nurse for our Outpatient Cardiology team.

Work Hours/Shift:

Full-time

40 hours per week

You Will Be Responsible For:

Provide services for the Atrial Fibrillation program. Coordination of care of the Atrial fibrillation patient and cryptogenic stroke patient populations as identified via RN evaluation referral to program. Promotes referral to program from appropriate providers during admission at Saint Francis Hospital. Meets the needs of this high-risk patient population during discharge and post-admission in the ambulatory setting.

Pre-admission appointments to assess, collect labs, screen patients, provide medication reconciliation, patient education, and surgical instruction for upcoming procedures. 

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.  BSN preferred.  MSN or Nurse Navigator certificate preferred.

Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.

Certification: BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.

Effective communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills: 

Certification in area of specialty.  Three (3) to four (4) years of related clinical and/or hospital experience, or previous experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting.  Cardiac and/or telemetry monitoring.  EKG interpretation proficient. Telephonic Assessments preferred. A-Fib or Electrophysiology experience highly preferred.
