Our over 40,000 employees are pioneers in mobility who help to keep the world moving.
What do you contribute?
You will be responsible for the integration process of electrical components from the beginning of concept development to the assembly support of the rail vehicles. You will be fully responsible for the design and integration of electrical and pneumatic components (including electrical cabinets and containers with associated cable routing). Within the development, you will define and consider transversal and interface requirements (e.g. insulation coordination, fire protection, EMC, earthing, ethernet, eletrical cable routing etc.) and be the link between electrical and mechanical design as well as related disciplines such as circuit engineering. In addition, you will act as a process contact person/multiplier with regard to the above-mentioned transversal and interface requirements. For a successful assembly of the components, you will prepare the necessary production documents, simulate the installation of the electrical equipment and plan the electrical cable routing. You will report to the project manager in engineering and to your group management. What do you bring along?
You have at least a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, rail vehicle engineering or comparable. In addition, you have gained initial professional experience in the rail vehicle industry and are therefore familiar with the mechanical and electrical integration of components. You are familiar with sheet metal bending and welded designs as well as the pre-dimensioning of screw and rivet connections. You are experienced in the application of 3D CAD systems (ideally Creo Parametric) and have experience in modeling electrical cables. You are experienced in the use of PLM systems (ideally SAP and Teamcenter). In particular, you have knowledge of norms and standards in rail vehicle design. Advanced English skills, German skills on level B2 or higher as well as your willingness to travel domestically and abroad round off your profile. You will work with international teams from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, the USA, India and other countries. We live the "new normal" - so it goes without saying that you can do a crucial part of your work on the go.What do we offer you?
