Development Engineer – Reliability Engineer for Electrical Solutions (f/m/div.)

Job Description

As a Reliability Engineer, you will support the development of electrical solutions such as electrical water heaters, domestic hot water heat pumps and air-to-water heat pumps. You will ensure product reliability across the full development lifecycle by driving preventive quality actions, conducting analyses, and performing safety and technical reviews.

Responsibilities

Derive reliability requirements from load and use-case profiles.Drive and moderate quality prevention and product improvement sessions (e.g., FMEAs, focus matrix, DRBFMs, risk assessments).Assemble and execute test setups, create test plans, and perform reliability and validation tests.Actively participate in the creation and review of reliability test procedures and safety directives.Present test results and support development teams in solving quality issues (e.g., 8D problem-solving).

Qualifications

Education

Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Experience with reliability tests, component testing, statistical methods and material science is valued.Previous experience in product technical development is a plus.Background in refrigeration applications is considered a benefit.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

Knowledge in mechanical construction, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and refrigeration.Experience with IT tools used in a lab environment (e.g., Matlab, LabView) is valued.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Languages

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Working Methods

Strong analytical mindset with ability to document and present complex technical information.Critical thinking, structured approach to problem solving, and strong attention to detail.

Personality

Results-oriented, proactive, and collaborative.Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
