You will be working alongside other specialists responsible for providing technical R&D support for new product introductions in the market. Development Engineers play a vital role as a core member of the new product development team. They are responsible for working closely with design engineers, quality engineers, manufacturing associates, and suppliers throughout all phases of the product development lifecycle. The development engineer is critical in influencing the design for manufacture, defining the design attributes, and transferring the product design to manufacturing. This role will collaborate with internal team members and outside manufacturing partners to drive the development & qualification of the new product introductions. **Purpose of the role** Activities would include design inputs and outputs management, materials selection and biocompatibility, risk management, and verification & validation activities. Other typical responsibilities include supporting product testing with protocol and test method development. A high level of teamwork across multiple functions and geographies will be required. Expertise in the delivery of design history file generation and associated documentation such as technical reports, test reports and risk management. Applied Process Excellence/ Design Excellence, LEAN and Value Engineering experience, formal Green Belt/Black Belt Certification is an advantage. Analytical simulation skills with practical use of Matlab or Ansys software being advantageous.
