Development and Translation Scientist - Clinical Genetics

We have an excellent career opportunity for a Development and Translation Scientist.

This is a US Remote based position.

Position Summary

The Development and Translation Scientist supports the development of its genetic testing capabilities. This role is within the Genetic Insights Group (GIG), a research and development team dedicated to advancing the science of genetic variant interpretation and the use of genetic information in healthcare. Development and translation Scientists provide expertise for growing commercial products, curate the medical literature for existing and new products, ideate and prototype more effective variant interpretation, content curation, and organization workflows, and provide input/feedback for platform development and translation of research efforts.

Roles and responsibilities:

Lead knowledge curation efforts for high-priority products and services 

Identify and implement improvements in gene curation and clinical guidelines

Develop and refine AI modeling labels and disease mechanism frameworks 

Drive the design and prototyping of novel genomics-based capabilities 

Represent development programs in cross-functional meetings 

Lead or significantly contribute to scientific publications, white papers, and marketing content  

Requirements:

Minimum of Master’s degree with 4–6 years of clinical or translational genetics experience. PhD preferred.

Proven track record in clinical or translational genetics, genomics research, or curation of genetic disorders and related medical guidelines 

Experience in project leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred qualifications:

Previous work experience in clinical genetics

Experience with products containing clinical guidelines and risk models, especially as they relate to hereditary cancer genetics

Ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts into accessible content

Success in managing collaborative and individual projects

Ability to learn and apply new technologies and related concepts quickly

Pay Range: $115k-$140k annual salary (USD)

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
