Developer Productivity Engineer
**Company:** Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. **Job Area:** Engineering Group, Engineering Group > DSP Architecture and Design **General Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Developer Productivity Engineer to join our faced paced DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our build and test infrastructure to significantly improve the efficiency and velocity of our developers. You will work closely with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement scalable solutions that enhance the overall developer experience. **Key Responsibilities** + Analyze and optimize build and test pipelines to reduce cycle times and improve reliability. + Design and implement scalable CI/CD systems, primarily using Jenkins. + Collaborate with developers to understand pain points and deliver tooling and automation that improves productivity. + Monitor and maintain build infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. + Drive adoption of best practices in build engineering, test automation, and continuous integration. + Develop internal tools and scripts using Python to support automation and workflow improvements. + Document processes and provide training to engineering teams on new tools and systems. **Qualifications** + 10+ years of experience in software engineering or developer productivity roles. + Strong proficiency in Python with a proven track record of building automation tools and scripts. + Deep understanding of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation frameworks. + Hands-on experience with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.). + Experience with large C++ build environments using cmake + Experience optimizing large-scale build and test systems in complex environments. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand and improve complex engineering workflows. + Excellent communication and collaboration skills. **Nice to Have** + Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). + Familiarity with Bazel, Gradle, or other advanced build tools. + Background in developer experience or platform engineering. + Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Splunk) **Minimum Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. • 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
