Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.
**How you will contribute**
With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

**More about this role**
**What you need to know about this position:**
+ With the support of a manager and technical coaches, you will design and implement projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements and effectively communicate project statuses and risks.
+ As part ofthatyou willbe responsible forthe process development, optimization, and commercialization of snack products within theGum &Candy category, while influencing technology decisions and pipeline development on associated brands.
+ You will have the opportunity to work on multiple technologies in plant, and build strong relationships across RDQ, Supply Chain, Marketing, Research, etc. running technical risk assessments and creating and maintaining accurate consumer centric process specifications.
+ You will also develop and manage project plans and timelines, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and create intellectual property to drive competitive advantage.

**Education / Certifications:**
BS or MS in chemical engineering, food engineering, or similar discipline
**Job specific requirements:**
+ Relevant engineering experience, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods environment
+ Executional excellence, personal leadership, time management and problem-solving competencies
+ Applying fundamental technical understanding to interpret and analyze data and to reach clear conclusions
+ Communicating technical information effectively verbally and in writing
+ Technical curiosity, continuous learner and a drive to ensure technical rigor
+ Lead plant trials, working with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Procurement, Business Development, Production, Supply Chain and Quality). Properly plan, coordinate, and report each trial, provide appropriate level of technical support and troubleshooting to execute trial objectives and ensure proper documentation of each activity.
