Are you an experienced Engineering Detailer ready to take on exciting, hands-on projects from concept to completion? Pillar Innovations' Engineering & Automation group is seeking a Detailer II to play a key role in detailing and providing file processing support across a wide range of industries. In this role, you’ll use your expertise in CAD and other design software to support innovative fabrication projects for industrial customers.

 

You’ll work in close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and project managers, both in the field and at our shop.  With opportunities to lead other Detailers, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is comfortable with adapting to new challenges. What You'll Do Interpret drawings and documentation for fabrication, machining, and constructionCollaborate with other departments to ensure a high quality of productProcess and create CAD files with software for CNC equipmentTroubleshoot fabrication, assembly, installation, and equipment issuesFollow quality control standards and check listsDesign and navigate 3D/2D CAD software and equipment processing softwareEdit flow diagrams, P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) based on Engineered designCommunicate with customers to maintain relationships and provide support and networking opportunitiesManage and supervise assigned personnel and ensure effective performance management

Working Conditions

Walk/use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools / reach with hands and arms Sit, talk, listen, observe, read, write, and typeLift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted What You'll Bring Possess High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of steel fabrication or relevant work experience preferredCompletion of a relevant 2-3 year technical program in CADDemonstrated knowledge for the fabrication process, drafting principles, and willingness to perform hands-on workPossess a working knowledge of design principles such as structural clip and moment connections, manufacturability, etc. preferredValid driver’s license requiredPrior supervisory or leadership experience preferredAbility to work well both independently and as a teamStrong experience with software packages such as Inventor, AutoCad, CMS, CAM, EJE, Tekla, or equivalent design software requiredAbility to meet deadlinesWillingness to stretch current abilities to learn new skills How We'll Support You
