As a Despatch Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and despatch of goods in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities Pick, pack, and prepare orders for despatch according to customer specifications. Decanting, stock rotation, scanning, and labelling of goods. Ensure all goods are correctly labelled and documented. Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of despatched items using warehouse management systems. Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies before despatch. Follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) — training will be provided to ensure full compliance. Maintain a fast-paced working environment in line with production demands. Work collaboratively with the manager and team to achieve departmental targets. Promote and maintain Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations. Liaise with couriers and transport teams to coordinate deliveries. Keep the despatch area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Assist with stock control and inventory checks as required. Report any issues or delays to the Despatch Supervisor promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (desirable). Good attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Basic IT skills for data entry and record-keeping. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).

9am – 5.40pm

£12.21 per hour
