We are seeking a Field IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support in a rugged, fast-paced project site environment in Notrees, TX. This role is critical in ensuring the reliable operation of computing equipment and mobile devices, especially Apple iPads, for field teams. You will be working independently with remote supervision, supporting hardware, software, and basic networking needs across the construction site.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on support for iPads, laptops, and desktops used in the field
Troubleshoot and resolve local hardware and software issues
Support onboarding and IT provisioning for new field staff
Validate mobile device setups and app installations
Maintain shared workspaces and conference room IT readiness
Perform minor networking tasks (e.g., cable swaps, router checks, Starlink installs)
Log support activities and escalate issues using ServiceNow
Join team calls and contribute feedback to central IT
Operate independently on-site with remote guidance from the Director of Digital Operations
Basic Qualifications2+ years of IT support experience (field or deskside)
Hands-on experience supporting Apple iPads in business or industrial settings
Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, and basic networking
Valid Driver’s License and personal transportation (site is 30+ miles from Odessa)
Comfortable working independently in rugged/outdoor environments
Strong verbal communication and documentation skills
Ability to support field engineers, project managers, and craft personnel
Understanding of ticketing systems (ServiceNow), MDM tools (JAMF, Intune), and app deployments
Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with JAMF, Intune, or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
Knowledge of Apple ID, iPadOS, and mobile profile settings
Experience in the Energy, ECPM, or Infrastructure industries
Previous work in industrial environments adhering to strict HSE and PPE protocols
Safety certifications or HSE training (manual handling, lifting, etc.)
Work ConditionsMust be able to operate safely in a field-deployed environment
Adherence to all site safety and PPE protocols is mandatory
Occasional physical activity such as cable management and basic hardware setup
Expected to contribute to a safety-first culture, including leading by example and sharing safety moments
Education RequirementsRequired: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: JAMF or MDM certification, or equivalent on-the-job experience
