We have a new opportunity for a **Desktop Support Technician** to join our client’s team **onsite** in Akron, OH. There will be overnight stays required for a couple of areas. Reimbursement for mileage provided and hotel stays will be booked and pre-paid by Project Manager overseeing this role. The work schedule will be M-F, 7:30am to 4:30pm.
**Duties and Responsibilities** **:**
+ Prepare workstations / work environment for employees to return to work
+ Hardware set up, not repairs – some sanitation may be required
+ Deskside support for all end user computing
+ Plug and play set up issues, headset / phone set up, connecting to printers
+ Reimage devices as needed
+ Desktop Inventory
+ Travel to client locations
+ Find and inventory all tagged assets, update tracker spreadsheet
+ Consult with local users about PC upgrades
+ Clean up all old IT hardware, place in box for shipping, and
+ Travel back to client locations for hardware installations
+ PC Upgrades
+ Travel to client locations (carrying ethernet cables, etc.)
+ Build carts
+ Build laptops for users
+ Other Desktop projects
**Skills and Qualifications** **:**
+ Good communication skills
+ Good analytical / troubleshooting skills
+ Strong working knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems
+ Working knowledge of MS Office and basic business applications
+ Good customer support skills
**Wage Range** :
The rate for this position is between **$22.50 - $36.00 per hour.** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
