 Position

SAS has an opening for a Desktop Support Technician. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for maintaining all IT-related equipment.  The primary duties include taking helpdesk phone calls and tickets from end users and updating software and hardware for all IT equipment.  Additional duties include replacing, testing, and building PC hardware for SAS end users. You will need the ability to work collaboratively and independently with excellent technical knowledge of all operating systems.  You will be working closely with multiple departments within SAS shoes. 

 Experience Requirements: 

Must have technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, IOS, Android, and Linux operating systems.Troubleshoot issues with voice, data, applications, and anything else at a Level 1 tier.Customer Service experience is requiredComputer hardware proficientBasic networking knowledge of TC/IP, firewall, and basic protocolsAbility to create and improve technical documentationParticipate in the development of user training programs and recommend changesIdentify and escalate problems requiring escalation.Must be a self-starter with the desire to take initiative.Ability to work collaboratively or independently.Manufacturing systems experience a plusDemonstrate outside-the-box thinkingHelp Desk experience is a plusEffective listening skills and verbal communication, maintaining proper phone etiquetteBe self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.Maintain safety regulations and requirements while in the factory and warehouse areas.COMPTIA training is a plusPoint of Sale(POS) experience is a plusPCI Compliance experience a plusAbility to work on-call, after hours and weekends.May be required to work non-traditional hours.Reliable TransportationAbility to organize and prioritize daily work and work with minimal supervision. 

 Job Responsibilities:

Maintaining and supporting all computer operations.Problem-solving and troubleshooting computer-related issuesMaintain IOT(Internet of Things) equipmentAbility to work in a team environmentMonitoring specific service alerts and performing proper remediation or escalationPerform software installations, build and implement computer images for deploymentsMaintain IT security standards in the desktop support areaAssist, support, and work on server system upgrades as directedUnderstanding and ability to run network cablingActive Directory and file storage administrationNetwork and email administrationVerbal communication and proper phone etiquetteMulti-tasking capabilitiesUp to 10% of travelPerform daily duties as directed.
