Desktop Support Technician
Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the IT Support department supporting a diverse range of employees and contractors. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title: Desktop Support Technician** **Location: Lafayette, IN (Onsite)** **Duration: 6+ months (highly possible to extend)** **What's the Job?** + Provide IT / OT deskside support to all employees at the Arconic Lafayette plant and other remote sites. + Deliver White Glove IT services to all company executives at the Arconic Lafayette plant and other remote sites. + Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows 10, 11), network, mobile devices, and various business applications. + Stage, configure, and deliver IT assets such as personal computers and mobile phones. + Manage the inventory of IT assets for the site(s) and support all IT systems at the location. **What's Needed?** + Proven experience in IT support or a related field. + Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting techniques. + Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals. + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required. + Willingness to collaborate with a global IT support team to share information and best practices.
