Description We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician in Madison, WI. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about technology, troubleshooting, and delivering exceptional end-user support. You will play a key role in maintaining and supporting thousands of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices across the organization. Key Responsibilities: + Perform hands-on repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and other PC hardware. + Deploy and configure new PCs and laptops as part of the organization's hardware refresh cycle. + Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets and ensure proper documentation of all hardware movements. + Decommission and recycle outdated equipment in accordance with company policies and environmental standards. + Manage and resolve support tickets using the ServiceNow ticketing system, ensuring timely updates and closure. + Collaborate with the Field Tech Manager to ensure adherence to IT policies, procedures, and best practices. + Provide excellent customer service and technical support to end-users, both in-person and remotely. + Assist with basic AV equipment setup and troubleshooting (experience in AV integration is a plus). Required Skills & Qualifications: + Proven experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role. + Strong knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365. + Familiarity with hardware diagnostics, repair, and replacement. + Experience with IT asset management tools and practices. + Proficiency in using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune or other device management platforms. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with AV systems and integration. + Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
