As a Desktop Support Analyst at Cleveland-Cliffs New Carlisle, you will be an integral part of the autonomous work teams that make up the New Carlisle quality, production, and maintenance organizations. Desktop Support works with personnel from Operations, Operations Planning, Quality, Process Technology, Finance, and computer systems departments to resolve issues and provide solutions in addition to the deployment of new and removal of old computer equipment. This is a challenging, highly visible position that has an immediate impact on the ability of other personnel to do their jobs. The position has other opportunities within the computer systems department for further career development.

This Cleveland-Cliffs facility is in New Carlisle, Indiana. This facility produces cold-rolled, hot-dipped galvanized, and galvannealed steel coils.

Summary of Responsibilities: 

Troubleshoot PC issues for end-users including e-mail, office 365, printing, and PC hardwareSet up Windows 11 on PCs using the corporate imageTroubleshooting printer issuesBasic Troubleshooting of network issuesFunction independently within a team-driven, fast-paced environmentOrdering and Maintaining Stock EquipmentOther Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Windows 10 and 11 experience including imaging of computersExperience in Office 365Basic troubleshooting of printer issuesExperienced in the installation of PC softwareAbility to use Active Directory Users and ComputersAbility to create understandable documentation for use by othersAbility to lift 10 to 20 poundsAbility to climb stairsAbility to multitask and work with multiple levels of the organizationPossess effective communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsEnjoy working with people

Preferred Qualifications:

CompTIA A+ certificationOne to two years of help desk/desktop support experienceExperience with Power Shell
