Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a Desktop Lead. This role is responsible for supervising IT Field Support associates across multiple sites within a designated region. Serving as the primary escalation point for site-related IT issues, the Desktop Lead coordinates closely with the broader technology team to ensure consistent support and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage IT Field Support Specialists, including task prioritization, delegation, and progress monitoring
* Facilitate Agile practices such as daily standups and backlog management
* Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations, both periodic and annual
* Deliver senior-level technical support to operating sites across the U.S. and Canada as needed
* Analyze and escalate recurring or high-impact issues; research complex problems and communicate updates to stakeholders
* Ensure accurate inventory tracking of IT assets within the region
* Maintain documentation for team processes and procedures
* Participate in hiring activities, including interviewing candidates and providing input on hiring, promotions, and terminations
