Responsibilities Leads other NF2 Desk Clerk to perform a variety of guest service duties while assisting and monitoring the operation of a lodging activity within Inns of the Corps. Serve as the point of contact for all Marine and Guest questions, concerns, and needs while staying at the IOTC. May perform guest room inspections and prepare deficiency reports. Responsible for performing a full range of services such taking reservations in person and on the phone, following up on delinquent payments, making refunds and adjustments, scheduling housekeeping services and any other customer service related duties or transactions. May assign rooms, issue keys, calculate and post charges to guest accounts, collect guest payments, complete administration/clerical duties as assigned or needed, maintain front desk and work order logs and/or computerized log apps, as well as operate the front desk. Will be required to assist in conducting the inventory of property and reconciliation of inventory records. Assist Guest Services Manager by leading and directing subordinates, answering questions, passing on instructions, resolving problems which arise, training new employees and ensuring smooth flow of operations. May assist and relieve Guest Services Managers during scheduled leave or other absence. Assists Guest Services Managers with schedule and schedule conflicts for a 24 hour/365 day a year operation. Complies all group billeting folios for billing. Inspects quarters for adequate habitability. Conducts review and validation of records for inventory and occupancy data. Administer guest services such as assisting with beverage sales, and information distribution. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be at least 20 years old AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school. (Valid documentation will be required upon hire.) 2. Knowledge of basic cash handling techniques. Must complete Cash Handling Training Course before handling funds and Refresher Course once per year. 3. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including nights, holidays, weekends, and stand Typhoon Duty. 4. Ability to obtain a SOFA driver's license is required. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. At least one year of experience in a hotel or hospitality environment or in progressively responsible office, customer service or other work which indicates the abilities to acquire the knowledge and skill to perform the duties of the job. 2. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. 3. Possess ability to clearly communicate general and specific instructions, both orally and in writing. Must be able to read and understand directions on product labels and printed instructions. Knowledgeable in safe working habits, conditions, and environment. Ability to use various industrial-type equipment, to include performing minor maintenance on equipment. Supervisory experience is preferred. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
