CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is seeking a qualified Designer IV with 8+ years of experience for our Allentown, PA office. This role will be responsible for collaborating with other surveyors, engineers, or designers on projects for state, regional, local, and private clients performing a variety of tasks in the preparation of plans and/or tasks on multiple projects and checking the work of others. The position will function as a senior designer in the development of engineering plans related to all facets of the surveying.

Essential Functions
Assist the Work Group Leader in supervising the efforts of the survey project team. Perform highway and/or survey design tasks with minimal supervision and guidance. Generate CADD drawings and perform design tasks using Bentley MicroStation and/or Civil 3D. Interpret field survey data. Perform required calculations, computation of quantities, and meet submission requirements/specifications. Assist in the preparation of drawing plans related to surveying and highway. Prepare design submissions for review agencies and/or client including reports. Prepare survey crew with documentation to support their daily task, review completeness of fieldnotes, edit and process field data obtained, and evaluate project progression. Perform other duties as assigned.
