Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation
In this role you will design innovative, high-performance apparel that elevates the running experience for athletes and consumers around the world. You will work as part of an international, cross-functional team, translating insights, trends, and performance needs into products that embody the adidas brand and push the boundaries of design in our Running BU.
Key Responsibilities
Bring to life design concepts that set new benchmarks for creativity, performance, and style within the Running category. Translate the creative vision into market-leading product ranges that connect with our consumers and deliver against category strategy. Own and manage your creative process, ensuring consistency with category design language, seasonal direction, and brand identity. Present your ideas and design solutions with clarity and passion to inspire both creative and commercial stakeholders. Partner closely with marketing and development to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment from concept to final product. Provide complete and accurate design handovers including sketches, technical drawings, shell patterns, material maps, and Illustrator line art. Visualise ideas with a high degree of craftsmanship and storytelling to clearly communicate function, emotion, and innovation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Passion for creating high-performance running apparel that combines innovation and style. Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to turn insights and inspiration into market-right designs. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in diverse, global teams. Solid understanding of apparel design, materials, and construction processes. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on MacOS; 3D design skills are an advantage. Strong presentation skills, able to communicate ideas clearly in spoken, written, and visual form. Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant design field (e.g. Product, Industrial, Fashion Design). Minimum 3 years of professional experience in apparel design, preferably in performance sportswear.
