Now Brewing – Designer, Digital UX & Design
From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only
celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.
At Starbucks, we believe that great design fuels meaningful connections—between customers, partners, and our brand. As part of the UX & Design team within our Digital organization, you will design and deliver world-class experiences across mobile, web, and in-store platforms.
Your work will directly influence how millions of customers engage with Starbucks every day— from ordering their daily iced latte with cold foam, to earning and redeeming Stars, Starbucks Rewards and other long-term engagement. You’ll actively contribute to design projects, work closely with cross-functional teams, and help create digital experiences that are both visually appealing and user-friendly.
As a designer, you will...
· Help design features and experiences that reach millions of users every day.
· Support the creation of clean, intuitive user interfaces across platforms, using a full design process—from research and planning to wireframing and prototyping.
· Collaborate closely with researchers, product managers, engineers, data analysts, and other designers to bring ideas to life across app and web.
· Support the design file handoff process, ensuring all design specifications, assets, and interaction details are clearly documented and communicated to engineering and QA teams to support smooth implementation and high-quality delivery.
· Help maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, accessibility and alignment with our brand.
· Present design solutions and storytelling artifacts to a wide variety of teams and departments.
We’d love to hear from people with...
· 1+ years designing customer-facing digital products. More than years of experience, we care about the quality of work and how you approach design challenges.
· A portfolio that shows strong fundamentals in interaction and visual design, along with a clear design process and problem-solving mindset.
· A user-first perspective, with the ability to identify design opportunities by understanding user needs, behaviors and preferences.
· An iterative mindset, where feedback is welcomed and used to refine designs in alignment with business goals.
· Proficiency in modern design tools, especially Figma, for prototyping, collaboration and iteration.
· Curiosity about emerging design trends, and the ability to apply them thoughtfully within brand guidelines.
· Clear communication skills, whether you’re sharing ideas visually, verbally or in writing.
Nice To Have Experience....
· Experience designing for mobile ordering platforms, loyalty programs, retail, or eCommerce.
· Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
· Hands-on experience with advanced prototyping tools, like ProtoPie.
