Our client has an opportunity for a Design Wing Integrator to join them on a contract basis until August 2026. You will be responsible for supporting the Build Support / Non-Conformance team.

Role: Design Wing Integrator
Location: Broughton, Flintshire. Fully onsite
Hours: 35 per week
Hourly Rate: £38-£46 per hour via umbrella, inside IR35 – Engineer’s
£44-£52 per hour via umbrella, inside IR35 – Approver
Clearance: BPSS required to start

What you’ll be doing:

Lead projects and activities through the best standard of performance management to ensure the technical solutions are right first time and ensure a full E2E solution is enabled for design changes Act as the link between Engineering and Operations, ensuring co-design solutions which are suitable for the industrial system whilst maintaining an engineering, and most importantly, a customer perspective Support the prioritisation of Engineering responses to operational issues, and manage engineering suppliers to achieve these prioritised deliverables. Provide proactive product improvement which supports modifications to reduce Recurring Costs, Non-Recurring Costs and Non-Conformances throughout the value stream. Support and/or lead initiatives to further enhance team efficiency and effectiveness through application of methods, tools, processes and/or other capability improvements (e.g. achievement of AOS goals, sustainability goals, etc).

Required Competencies & Abilities:

A real sense of ownership – owns a problem and finds solutions to give the best possible outcomes Strong design engineer with integration experience. Design/aviation experience essential Able to find and work with new challenges and find how to bring fresh ideas and concepts to deliver our business needs. Proactively drives towards business delivery on multiple fronts with the operational objectives in mind. Anticipation mindset, able to identify risks/opportunities and manage them appropriately Motivated and self-driven with the ability to work autonomously when required, whilst being a strong team player. Deliver reliably on time, cost and quality whilst embracing change and challenge when appropriate.
