Job DescriptionRoles & Responsibilities :
Design and development of LV and HV Li Ion Battery and related application.
Structural feasibility and packaging studies.
Product Development
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for:
a) Sheet metal components & weldments
b) Structural rails and beam assemblies
Collaborate with cross functions teams for optimized energy storage system design.
Design support for prototype builds, reviews, and supplier discussions.
Experience in qualification of products as per stationary and automotive industry standards
Electrical components selection
QualificationsEducational qualification:
BE/BTech in Mechanical or related discipline
Experience : 8-12 years
Mandatory/requires Skills :
Experience of handling LV and HV Li Ion Battery
Strong experience in Plastics, Sheet metal and Structural design
Energy storage chassis/structure experience preferred
CAD proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo
GD&T, tolerance stack-up
Basic simulation understanding (structural / thermal)
Experience in any Engineering Change Management system
Soft Skills
Ability to work independently and handle a project
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Good communication & cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to handle fast-paced development cycles
Preferred Skills :
Understanding of the requirement of AIS, IEC and UL standards for Battery application
We are seeking 8-12 years of experience candidate with strong expertise in Li Ion Battery application, Plastics, sheet metal design, structural beam design for Battery. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CAD tools and a deep understanding of design for manufacturability, performance, and safety. Ability to work independently on a project.
