Design Sales Specialist – Showroom (Exterior Windows & Doors)

We are seeking a highly motivated and design-oriented Design Sales Specialist to join our showroom team, with a focus on premium exterior windows and doors. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for design, architecture, and customer service, who can confidently guide clients through the product selection process and deliver tailored solutions for their building or remodeling projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Greet and engage showroom visitors, providing expert guidance on window and door options to suit their style, budget, and project requirements.

Assist the Sales Manager with various marketing tasks and scheduling of events related to premium windows. 

 

Design Expertise: Assist clients (homeowners, architects, designers, and builders) with product selection based on aesthetics, performance, energy efficiency, and code compliance.

 

Sales Process: Manage the full sales cycle from initial consultation to closing the sale, including quoting, follow-up, and order coordination.

 

Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, materials, finishes, glazing options, and installation methods.

 

Showroom Presentation: Ensure showroom displays are clean, organized, and current with updated samples and literature.

 

Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with repeat clients, industry professionals, and trade partners.

 

Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, operations, and logistics) to ensure seamless execution of client orders and delivery timelines.

 

Qualifications:

Proven experience in design-focused sales, preferably in building materials, windows & doors, or related home improvement sectors. Strong understanding of design principles, architectural trends, and construction terminology. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Self-starter with a customer-first mindset and a strong attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or design software is a plus. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints is preferred.

 

Education & Experience:
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in retail or B2B sales, preferably in a showroom or design studio environment.
