Job Description
+ The Print Specialist is responsible for ensuring executional excellence for primary and secondary packaging for our brands from early D esign Intent and adaptation to final execution .
This person mu st have a deep understanding of design, the design process , and print technology to enable top quality and consistent shelf executions that are fit for use ( in line with our brand strategies , guidelines, regional requirements, and budget targets ) .
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fit for Use (FFU) Management
+ Liaise with regional and cross-functional partners to understand FFU requirements ( i.e. region-specific regulatory requirements, considerations from packing line, shelf height restrictions, etc.)
+ Identify print specifications and/or restrictions by region.
+ Create and maintain ‘Design Exe cution FFU Brief’ that captures p rinter + capabilities by region , r egional requirements ( i.e. number of languages and regionally specific requirements that affect design intent) , b udget c onsiderations and/or t argets , p lant limitations/c onsiderations .
+ Provide solutions to print feasibility issues to ensure quality executions.
+ I nput to Design Brief to ensure executional c onsiderations are clear at kickoff meetings.
+ Confirm that final executions meet budget targets/requirements.
+ Confirm that final executions meet FFU requirements.
Print Quality Management
+ Manage color/finish approval on packaging materials, as needed.
+ Lead pre-pro meetings.
+ Partner with Design , Graphic Specialist and AW Delivery Specialist to ensure executional excellence on shelf that is consistent with approved print standard. Attend print trials, as needed.
+ Lead pre-press Qualification.
+ Lead print quality improvement efforts by implementing and enforcing Print Quality Management process/protocol that ensures consistency at launch and over time. Request production run samples on periodic basis and conduct periodic store checks to gauge consistency.
+ Liaise with Purchasing when evaluating new printers to ensure that vendors in consideration can support the business with outstanding results.
+ Partner with Supply Chain to identify and implement corrective actions to Print Quality problems.
Packaging TMF (Textures, Materials, Finishes) Strategy
+ Understand emerging and established print innovations.
+ Understand competitive p ack % A R P (Average Retail Price) .
+ Establish a TMF Packaging S trategy that recommends materials, finishes , and decoration technologies for each House and its brands . The strategy should be consistent with the Brand Architecture and Visual Identity and should help the organization understand the investments needed to be competitive an d relevant within the category.
+ Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
+ Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, P rint P roduction .
+ Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with color management tools.
+ Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
+ Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
+ A creative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas for artwork improvements and enhancements.
+ Advanced English & Portuguese Proficiency
