Grow here.** **Job Description** Here is what you will be doing: **Team Management:** - Supports the Senior Project Managers, Technical and Associate Directors with implementing the overall strategic goals - Supervises groups of Assistant Project Managers and coordinates their activities - Ensures that project teams under their supervision comply with project execution, project management and BIM management plans throughout the project delivery process - Engages with other project teams, with related expertise, to confirm project approach and review deliverables - Provides input to the development of the budget and schedule, to meet requirements - May be required to participate in recruitment activities - Supports with performance reviews of the staff within the team - Able to monitor and track the budget on their projects **Technical Excellence:** - Provides specialised input to studies within their specific area of expertise - Works autonomously within established procedures and practices, with latitude to determine work priorities - Resolves issues or problems concerning conflicting requirements or complex coordination - Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard industry techniques to execute work assignments - Identifies and develops new processes that lead to improved efficiency or work quality - Liaises with authorities to obtain permits and approvals - Supports the team on complex projects by appointing the right resources and implementing budget control - Assists with bids **Project Management:** - Acts as Project Manager on small to medium sized uncomplicated projects or a range of smaller projects - Has a good understanding of project delivery requirements and is well versed with AECOM’s project delivery procedures - Is well versed in the use of Earned Value Management (EVM) to assess progress Client Relationship Management: - Supports business development and selling initiatives to expand work assignments, including managing client relationships and expectations - Participates in the development of bids and proposals - Leads communication with clients to discuss work scope, requests information to support project execution and receives client comments on draft work products - Presents to clients, senior leadership and other project stakeholders to demonstrate progress Interdisciplinary Coordination: - Responsible to coordinate with the other disciplines **Qualifications** Here is what we are looking for: - Honours degree in built environment field of study with a minimum of four (4) years' relevant post-graduate experience - B-Tech degree in built environment field of study with a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant post-graduate experience - National Higher Diploma in built environment field of study with a minimum of six (6) years’ relevant post-graduate experience - National Diploma in built environment field of study with a minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant post-graduate experience - Tertiary qualification in Project Management related field of study, such as procurement, quantity surveying, engineering, architecture, planning, contracting, etc with a minimum of five (5) years' relevant post-graduate experience Required: - Registration as Candidate with SACPCMP (PrCPM), OR - Certification as CAPM with PMI **Additional Information** **At AECOM, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity** _At AECOM, our Freedom to Grow philosophy supports flexibility and balance to help our people thrive.
