The Candidate:
We are seeking an exceptional design director to assume leadership of our regional interiors practice. This strategic role drives organizational growth, operational excellence, and design innovation while establishing our market position as the premier interior design consultancy in the region.
Key Responsibilities
As Design Manager, you will manage and mentor a team of interior designers, space planners, and design coordinators, providing guidance on career development, skill enhancement, and design methodology. You will foster a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and professional growth while maintaining team productivity and morale.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of interior design experience with at least 3-5 years in a management or senior design role. Extensive experience in workplace design, including open offices, collaboration spaces, and hybrid work environments.

Duties & responsibilities of Interior Design Manager
· Maintains involvement and ensures quality control in all phases of interior architectural projects and their management.
· May serve as a primary contact with clients, consultants and public agencies
· Oversee multiple workplace design projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
· Review and approve design concepts, space plans, specifications, and construction documentation
· Evaluates the progress on projects and vetting project design goals
· Work closely with the partners-in-charge and interior design leads
Through professional leadership, assisting in raising the standard of knowledge of staff engaged on the project.
Coordinate with global project teams, clients, and consultants to deliver cohesive design solutions that meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
Qualifications/Experience
Experience working in offshore or distributed team environments
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
· 10+ years of interior design experience with at least 3-5 years in a management or senior design role
· Extensive experience in workplace design, including open offices, collaboration spaces, and hybrid work environments
Experience in gathering and defining design requirements with requesting customers and preparing alternative solutions ranging from conceptual design to final design within established parameters
Strong leadership capabilities with experience developing talent and managing performance
Familiarity with international building codes and workplace standards
Experience in interacting with all levels of corporate and contractor personnel
Advance computer design skills. Ability to use Autodesk, Adobe and MS suites
Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability for working in a multi-cultural, multilingual team environment
