Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Engineer - Wet Utilities to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing wet utility systems, including water supply, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions for complex water-related projects.
Develop and review designs for wet utility systems, including water distribution networks, sewerage systems, and stormwater management facilitiesConduct hydraulic modeling and analysis using specialized software to optimize system performancePrepare technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings for wet utility projectsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutionsPerform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawingsDevelop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projectsProvide technical input to studies and designs within your area of expertiseAssist in the preparation of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirementsStay updated on industry trends, technologies, and local regulations related to wet utilitiesParticipate in client meetings and present technical solutions to stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a water-related field8-10 years of experience in wet utilities engineering, with at least 3-4 years of experience in the UAE or other GCC countriesProficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as WaterGEM, SewerGEM, StormCAD, InfoSWMM, MIKE URBAN, Infoworks ICM, and HEC-RASStrong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS software like ARCMapDemonstrated technical capability in water supply, wastewater, and stormwater system designExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutionsStrong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detailProficiency in project management and ability to meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clientsKnowledge of local regulations and standards in Abu Dhabi related to wet utilitiesCommercial acumen and understanding of project economicsAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologiesProfessional Engineer (PE) license or working towards obtaining one is preferredChartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is desirableAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
