Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to support a client in delivering high-precision composite and metal tooling solutions. This role is part of a strategic initiative, focusing on tool design using Siemens NX and CATIA V5 within a SAP ECTR-managed lifecycle. Key Responsibilities include: Design and develop complex tooling solutions for composite and metal parts, prototypes, and assemblies. Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using Siemens NX and CATIA V5. Integrate designs within Janicki’s PLM environment (SAP ECTR). Perform surface modeling and static FEA as required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and quality standards. Participate in project planning, reporting, and communication as part of a managed or custom service delivery model. Maintain documentation and adhere to Janicki-specific workflows and engineering processes. Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in tool design, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment sectors. Proficiency in Siemens NX and CATIA V5. Familiarity with SAP ECTR or similar PLM systems. Experience with surface modeling and static FEA. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacture principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Exposure to composite tooling and legacy-to-3D model conversion. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
