Job  Summary

Seeking a skilled Skid Design Engineer to join our team, embodying Veolia's commitment to resourcing the world. This role combines technical expertise with our values of responsibility, innovation, customer focus, respect, and solidarity. The position requires proficiency in 2D/3D design software for creating detailed skid models (AutoCAD, Solidworks/AutoDesk Plant 3D), As-Built drawings, and equipment layouts. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive skid designs based on engineering documentation, performing stress analysis, and ensuring compliance with ASME standards (B31.3/B31.1). The ideal candidate will conduct peer reviews following Global Quality procedures, participate in model reviews, and manage material requisitions. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail in preparing technical documentation, collaborating within cross-functional teams, and maintaining project schedules. This role offers opportunities to contribute to Veolia's mission of ecological transformation while delivering innovative solutions for water treatment systems.

Experience Required: Maximum 3-7 years’ Experience of mechanical design in Water,Power,O&G or related Industry.

Essential Responsibilities

Must-Have Requirements

Able to draft  "As-Built" drawings to meet project schedule and submittal requirement using AutoCAD software

Able to build the model of frames, equipment and piping and extract General Arrangement drawing using 3D Modelling softwares like Solidworks, Autodesk Plant 3D

Prepare Structural & Pipe Stress Analysis package including weight datasheet.

Competent to develop material requisitions , Review supplier technical offers and prepare techno commercial bid evaluation tabs.

Good To Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)

Knowledge on ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code /B 31.1 Power Piping Code

Able to prepare Skid 3D Model based on Basic Engineering documents using 3D Modelling softwares.

.Perform Pipe support span length calculation and review 3D Model. Performing stress analysis with simple load cases & combinations, Pipe Support Selection.Participate in 3D model reviews from concept to completion and know the concept of flexibility in pipe routing.

Competent to lead a group of engineers as the Lead Skid Engineer, expertise to assist shop problem solving during manufacturing.- Proficient  holistic approach for customer specification, schedule, budget and productivity and collaborate with multiple discipline

Qualifications

Diploma/Engineering Degree – Mechanical / Experience in Mechanical Engineering
