Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Engineer (Process Mech) to join our team! In this role you will get to design and integration of a building's physical infrastructure, from foundations and structural supports to architectural elements, ensuring compliance with codes, safety, and client requirements throughout a project's lifecycle

What You'll Be Doing:

Create mechanical components, machinery, and entire process systems for industrial applications. 

Ensure materials and energy are used efficiently in a production process by designing optimal equipment and workflows. 

Identify and select appropriate materials for process equipment and components, considering factors like durability, cost, and performance. 

Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed technical drawings and simulations for manufacturing. 

Design and conduct tests on prototypes and existing processes to identify issues and improve performance. 

Work with other engineers, clients, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and meet project requirements. 

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is typically required. 

Expertise in mechanical design principles and hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software. 

Ability to analyze complex systems, troubleshoot problems, and identify potential issues in a design. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with teams and clients. 

The ability to brainstorm innovative solutions and develop new designs.
