Design Engineer III – Lab Test Technical Designer An aerospace and defense company in Tukwila, WA is currently hiring for a Design Engineer III to join their Systems Laboratory Test Design/Build team. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting commercial and military programs. Candidates must reside near Tukwila, WA or be willing to relocate. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD software proficiency. Pay– (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, relevant job titles…etc.) Location– Tukwila, WA (Onsite) Schedule– Standard Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) Responsibilities + Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. + Support Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs). + Manage drafting requirements and incorporate drawing changes. + Develop and modify systems components and installation designs. + Review mechanical structural assemblies and configuration management requirements. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product development. Qualification Requirements + 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO). + Experience with 2D drawings and 3D deliverables. + AA degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical audiences. + Experience in test and evaluation engineering. Disqualifiers + Job-hoppy tenure. + No experience with CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO). + Less than 3 years of relevant design experience. + No experience in test and evaluation environments.
