The electrical design engineer is responsible of the equipment allocated on projects or development programs. She/he is the guarantor of the conformity of the equipment to the technical need, in compliance with the time and deadlines set.

General Responsibilities:

The engineer is responsible for:

Prepare the functional specifications, based on the sizing studies, the contract, the regulatory codes and standards applicable for this project, the reference designs.Negotiate technically with suppliers the optimal solution.Responsible for the good realization by the supplier, in collaboration with the purchasing and quality functions:Timely delivery of documentation (OTD),Documentary review ensuring that the design complies with the specification issued and good engineering practices,Change management,Factory tests.At the same time, he/she:• Organize design reviews with lead engineers,• Will support negotiations with the client.The engineer will also support the site teams during the installation and commissioning of the equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience5 years minimum, ideally in the field of electrical distribution of industrial installationsKnowledge of MS Office applications with proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power PointKnowledge of main standards (IEC, IEEE), knowledge of ANSI standards would be a plusFluent in English

Desired Characteristics:

Able to understand wiring diagrams, arrangement drawings, control diagrams, signal list, consumer list and other drawings issued by suppliers.Motivated and able to make technical decisions based on lead engineers.Strong work ethic takes ownership and accountability for work results.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a matrix environment with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain working relationships with team members.Experience in organizing projects with successful experience communicating with cross-functional teams.
