Aircraft Styling Team

Bring your engineering design experience and ideas to help usdevelopthe best helicopter interiors in the world. As part of the commercial programs team, you’ll be a part of Bell engineering tasked with improving and building new interiors, kits and components for our commercial aircraft. You’ll interact regularly with suppliers, sales, marketing and business operations to ensure our new products meet the demands of the market and its customers.This role will be an integral part of the team, designing, developing and showcasing Bell’s expertise in aircraft cabin design. You’ll be able to leverage your technical engineering and industrial design abilities all while gaining experience in the dynamic and complex rotorcraft industry.

What you’ll be doing as an Interior Design Engineer

Provide complex conceptual and working designs that will capture higher market demand in the corporate and VIP classes of commercial aircraft.Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, create innovative solutions, and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and quality targets.Ensure kit certifiability and compatibility with existing Bell aircraft to include components and systems that meet functionality and performance requirements.Work effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful project execution.Identify and build a continuous roadmap of innovative products, process improvements and best practices.

Knowledge of engineering principles and design practicesHighly knowledgeable in CATIA (V6 preferred)Strong project management and problem-solving skillsCandidate must be highly creative and self-motivatedMust be able to communicate and collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines, Sales, Marketing, Branding, Customization, Pilots, and CustomersMust be able to build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams, brief leadership on project status and concepts, customers and suppliers.Understanding of aircraft interior certification rules regulations

What you need to be successful

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Product Design Engineering requiredRelated degrees with relevant experience will be consideredAdvanced degrees will be considered as additional experienceMinimum of 5 years of engineering design experience is required, preferably related to vehicle and/or aircraft part design.Must have the ability to travel between Bell facilities, suppliers, and/or trade shows
