Our client, an agricultural equipment manufacturing firm, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Design Engineer, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in performing engineering analysis and design of new and modified components in accordance with engineering standards and project scope. The Design Engineer is also responsible for resolving manufacturing and field issues when they arise. This role is located in Central Wisconsin and is a direct hire role. Our client is not giving consideration to candidates requiring a visa sponsorship at this time.

Location: Marshfield, WI
Pay: $85-$90K annually plus benefits

Key Responsibilities

Researches, studies and proposes use of new technologies to be used in the development of new and improved products Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues Use CAD to design and develop components and products while abiding by lean manufacturing, safety, engineering and drawing standards Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, and cost Prepares engineering layouts, drawings, specifications and Bill of Materials, ensuring all parts are accurately specified for production needsRequirements Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering Proficient using Microsoft Office Familiarity with Epicor ERP System and Algor, FEMPro is preferred Experience working with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling package Possess a strong mechanical knowledge of agriculture equipment or related systems
