Additive Manufacturing Expertise: In-depth understanding of various 3D printing processes (e.g., FDM, SLA, SLS, DMLS) and their application in an industrial setting. Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering), simulation, and digital manufacturing software (Preferred use in AutoCad/Autodesk Fusion/SolidWorks). Material Science: Knowledge of material properties, selection, and characterization for additive manufacturing, particularly relevant to automotive and manufacturing requirements. Automotive Systems: Familiarity with vehicle architecture, components, and the automotive development lifecycle. Business & Costs: Understanding of business principles, financial implications of engineering decisions, and cost analysis methodologies related to manufacturing processes and materials. Problem-Solving: Exceptional ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges with innovative and data-driven solutions. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and articulate complex technical concepts. Apply Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles to create innovative and optimized component designs, focusing on weight reduction, part consolidation, and enhanced performance. Lead rapid prototyping efforts, from concept to testing, to accelerate product development cycles and validate designs efficiently. Develop and implement bespoke tooling, jigs, and fixtures using additive manufacturing to streamline production and assembly processes. Conduct rigorous quality control, process improvement, and troubleshooting to ensure manufactured parts meet stringent automotive quality standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and supply chain teams to integrate additive manufacturing solutions seamlessly into vehicle development and manufacturing. Awareness of the latest advancements in additive manufacturing technologies, materials, and software, applying new knowledge to drive continuous innovation.
