Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Description

The Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing over 12,000 shelving elevation assemblies using Solidworks, designed for warehouse and backroom storage in major retail environments. This position is crucial to the organization's implementation of Solidworks PDM and requires regular progress reporting and collaboration with engineering leadership.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret and review 2D elevation layouts in AutoCAD.Re-engineer and model shelving elevations in Solidworks based on provided layouts.Validate designs for accuracy, including model integrity and Bill of Materials (BOM) verification.Collaborate with the Lead Engineer to support the integration of assemblies into Solidworks PDM.Provide weekly progress updates, including the number of assemblies completed and remaining.Offer support and guidance to the design team on Solidworks best practices and training as needed.Essential SkillsSolidworks (5 years minimum experience)AutoCAD proficiencyBachelor's degree in EngineeringExperience as a Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Product EngineerAdditional Skills & QualificationsSolidworks PDM experienceProfessional Engineer StampLeadership experienceWork Environment

The position offers a structured work environment with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week with no overtime. You will be part of a team of 5 engineers and may collaborate with Product Managers and the CAD team in the future. The site hosts approximately 120 people.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
