We’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of heavy-duty alternators used in demanding vehicle applications. This role is ideal for an innovative engineer with a passion for electromechanical systems and a strong background in product development from concept through production.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign next-generation alternators in a collaborative, global engineering environmentCreate advanced 3D CAD models and manage engineering dataPartner with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and toolingLead product validation and testing to meet customer and industry standardsConduct design reviews and maintain DFMEAsManage project timelines in alignment with TS 16949 and APQP standardsWhat We’re Looking For5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in product designBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)Strong background in electromechanical systems (e.g., AC generators, DC alternators, rotating equipment)Proficiency in GD&T and CAD tools (ProE/Creo required; SolidWorks a plus)Experience with FEA (magnetics or stress analysis preferred)Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Windchill, Minitab, and tolerance analysisExcellent project leadership, time management, and communication skillsCustomer-focused mindset and ability to thrive in cross-functional teamsPreferred SkillsMechanical Design3D Modeling (Creo, SolidWorks)GD&TNew Product DevelopmentDFMEA, APQP, TS16949Electromechanical DesignLean Manufacturing Principles

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
