The Boeing Company's Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) team is looking for a Mid-Level Structures & Payloads Design Engineer to join the exciting KC-46 Structures Team based in Tukwila, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design

Develops, maintains, and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools and other design methods

Provides product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle

Performs and integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

Manages supplier development, test, and production activities; coordinates with suppliers to optimize design and achieve program goals

Develops new design and analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort

Investigates emerging technologies and develops concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements

Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

2 or more years’ experience in Structural Design and Analysis of Aerospace industry.

2 or more years of CATIA V5 experience

Basic understanding of structural engineering fundamentals including airframe/component design and materials

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

3 or more years of experience in Structural Design and Requirements for Modification and or Repairs on transport class aircrafts

2 or more years of Structural Design in supporting Manufacturing

2 or more years of experience with Design for Producibility / DFM/A and producibility trade-offs

1 or more years of GDT

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Summary Pay Range:  

Associate Level: $80,750 - $109,250

Experienced Level: $96,050 - $129,950
